Biography ♥ Photography is my passion :)I was born and raised in Brazil and now live in beautiful South Carolina, in the US. My passion for photography began when I was 16 – my father gave me his old camera and the day I got it, I photographed my nephew’s first steps. It was love at first click!
I studied Mass Communications, majoring in Journalism. The photojournalism classes were my favorite. While in college, I used to photograph local bands and had photo essays published by local newspapers.
After a ten year hiatus (during which I worked first as a TV reporter and radio producer in Brazil and then as an interpreter and translator in the US), I resumed my photography passion. I was seeing so many wonderful things, I felt compelled to capture them. So I began to photograph the beauty that I saw and share the captures with friends. Soon my photos were spotted by Getty Images editors and I was invited to become a contributor. Since then, I’ve had pictures licensed by major companies from all over the world. So far, my images have been on the cover of five books and have been published in all continents, except Antarctica. It’s been a very interesting journey.
I enjoy all kinds of photographs and I love photographing pretty much anything. I like natural looking images as much as I like boldly processed ones. I photograph people and animals, buildings and trees. I photograph wild alligators as much as I photograph trained birds of prey. Why limit yourself?
I hope you’ll enjoy my work. But, folks, please note: my images are © All Rights Reserved and may not be used without permission. You can purchased selected canvases on 500px store or license my images via Getty Images. Thank you!
